RTMED surgical sutures with black needle enhance the visibility, especially in blood and smaller surgery sites. The black needles eliminate the hindering glare from the operating room lighting. The needles are more distinguishable than the standard stainless steel needles. 

The black needles are with anti-reflective coating, more visible in the presence of blood and under the mucosa.

 For the surgeries with bleeding or needing long time for suturing. 

Principle: 

The black needle adopts stainless steel oxidation coating technology, which uses the principle of interference color to make the surface of the sewing needle appear black. 

* The surface of stainless steel is coated by oxidation, and the light is refracted twice. The light passes through the oxidized coating layer on the surface of the stainless steel, some of the light is reflected on the oxidized coating surface, and other light is reflected through the oxidized coating and on the stainless steel surface. 

 * As a non-dynamic coating, the oxidation coating improves the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. 

 * The biological safety test results of the black needle are safe.
